TEFRA Hearing for Lease-Purchase Agreement
The Briaroaks Fire Department is excited to announce that we are adding on to station 1 to provide sleeping quarters for our firefighters to more comfortably provide 24 hour coverage to our community. This addition will provide 4 double occupancy bunk rooms and an indoor workout area in a separate but attached building. To partially fund this purchase, we will be seeking financing through a Lease-Purchase agreement, the conditions of which are governed by TEFRA which requires a public hearing. The notice of public hearing is being posted in accordance with TEFRA rules and the hearing will be held on September 24, 2025 at 6pm at Station 1.When I am driving and I am approached by an emergency vehicle, what should I do?
When you notice an approaching emergency vehicle, immediately pull to the right and stop. If you are approaching an intersection and see an emergency vehicle that is approaching the intersection from behind you or another direction, come to a stop, preferably one or two car lengths back from the intersection if possible and wait for the emergency vehicle to pass. Use caution when starting back on your way to ensure the intersection is clear and that you have the right of way.
